Eddie Lee Yon was born in Blountstown, Florida and is the son of George H. Yon and the late Virginia Robinson Yon. He and his wife of fourteen years, Veronica, reside in Tallahassee, Florida, and have three beautiful children: Veresia Emari, Eddie Lee III, and Evan Lee.
Brother Yon is a veteran of the United States Army and holds an A.A. degree in Computer Programming and Analysis from Tallahassee Community College (1994) and a B.S. degree in Business Management from the University of Evansville, Indiana (1998).
Brother Yon received his call to ministry on September 7, 1997 and responded by sending faith-filled e-mail messages to friends and family members. Consequently, through those seven people, the internet ministry, ElyonMinistries.org (formerly “A Resting Place in Cyberspace”), grew and now ministers to more than three hundred subscribers who also share the messages with their family and friends.
Reverend Yon received his license to preach (2000), his ordination “to the Office of the Ministry in the Church of Jesus Christ and vested with authority to preach the Word, administer the sacraments and bring counsel and compassion to the community of God's people" (2001), and his ordination to serve as an Elder of the church (2002).
With his practical teachings and awesome computer skills, Reverend Yon has allowed the Lord to use him mightily to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In addition to designing his ministry’s website, he also serves as the President and Owner of Elyon Technologies, Inc.
