Are You – Bout It Bout It?

Proverbs 16:3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be
established. (KJ)

Every now and then Veronica and I watch a television show on MTV entitled,
"Where are they now?" This show takes us back to the stars of
"yesteryear, " and it shows us their journey from superstardom to
their disappearance out of the "limelight." Quite often, after
hitting their lowest low, they commit their lives to Christ and He cleans them
up from the drugs they were using or helps them conquer whatever problems they
were facing

Now we are not going to single out the "superstars" because this
is a common reoccurrence in the lives of the "everyday" people. So
often, many have to hit rock bottom; then they decided to commit their works
and lives to the Lord to "get it together." But why should we hit
rock bottom to invite Christ in? Why let satan beat you up, wreck your
marriage, destroy your friendship or ruin your business and then finally turn
to Christ to get saved from the hell you are going through? It really does not
have to be that way.

The King James version of Proverbs 16:3 states, "Commit thy works unto
the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established." You know, if we have
thoughts established by heaven, how can we fail? Without a doubt you will face
adversity but failure will not be an option. The NIV version of this scripture
states, "Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will
succeed." That business you were afraid to step out on —— commit it to the
Lord and it will succeed. Don’t just commit its integrity but commit its
finances as well. Don’t tithe off of just the profits after all the bills are
paid and after you are paid; tithe off of the top. Not only that, but instead
of putting that first dollar back on the wall, put it in your Pastor’s hand.
That’s your first fruit!!! [Lessons on Tithes, Offerings & First fruits
coming soon.]

If you don’t know the purpose of a thing, you will abuse it. For divine
purpose, the Holy Spirit is bringing to my remembrance a time when I was very
young and I was kicking a toaster. Now here was a thing that was built for
toasting bread, and I was kicking it. Did I know its purpose? No! So I chose to
abuse it. This is why we should commit our bodies to the Lord, so that we won’t
abuse them with the things we put into them and we will have divine health. We
should commit those businesses and plans to the Lord so that He can use them
for His glory and our success.

Psalms 35:27 – "Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my
righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified,
which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant."

The Lord is "All About" you prospering; you just have to be
"All About" Him. You don’t have to climb the rough-side of the
mountain to "make it in." You don’t have to understand it in the
"sweet by and by." You don’t have to have Jesus "reach
wayyyyyyyyyy down to pick you up." You don’t have to be face down in the
gutter; the Lord can visit you while you’re on top of the mount if you choose
to let Him. He can visit you in the cool of the day rather than in the fiery
furnace. You don’t have to be down and out and filled with doubt; you can be
under the shadow of the wings of the Most High God. Where you are or where you
are going is simply a result of what you are about. So as the young folk say,
"Are you – Bout It, Bout It!!? " It’s time for us to get "Bout
It, Bout It" so we can go from broken and busted to blessed and bountiful!!
