Sing Unto The Lord A New Song
This week’s Tidbit Text comes from Psalm 98:1: "Sing to the Lord a new
song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have
worked salvation for him." (NIV)
This verse provides a great lesson in FAITH—which Hebrews 11:1
defines as "the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not
seen." Although we’re reading from the Old Testament, the Word is telling
us that the Lord’s "right hand and his holy arm have worked
salvation for him" or "hath gotten him the victory"
(KJV). Who is God’s right hand (Hebrews 10:12-18)? JESUS!!!! Who is God’s holy
arm (Isaiah 52:10)? JESUS!!!! Although Jesus had not come to the earth, God had
already provided the means by which we would be saved. The wheels had already
been set into motion. Ain’t that Good News?!
So sing "a new song" to the Lord, "for he has done marvelous
things." Whatever you’re praying for, don’t lose heart. Pray with a spirit
of thanksgiving and know that the Lord has already worked it out. Have enough
faith to claim it even before you see it. Believe me, your life will never be
the same.
God bless you!!
