Will You Be There When Help Shows Up!
Exodus 4
13But Moses said, “O Lord, please send someone else to do it.” 14Then the LORD’s anger burned against Moses and he said, “What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he can speak well. He is already on his way to meet you, and his heart will be glad when he sees you.
Can I talk to you once again about the thing you are supposed to do for God. The thing that you still are putting off. The thing that you feel is not really that important. Well, beloved of God I am here to tell you it is vital and no one else on the planet can do it but you..
The problem that you are probably facing is the “someone else can do it syndrome.” Well that is definitely not true. From our text we see Moses going through the same thing. He felt that he is not equipped to do that thing that God called him to do. Therefore he felt that someone else could easily pick up the mantel and run with it. But that was not true. God had placed within him experiences and giftings that were irreplaceable. God gave him a passion for his people that was irreplaceable. And all these things made Moses irreplaceable. But he still felt that someone else could do what he was called to do..
Now because God had put so much into him two things happened. First God got angry with him. Simply because the intricate plans that God had sown together for this time and season were about to be unwoven by Moses’ self doubt. God had placed events and people into the life of Moses that would prepare him for what was to come and Moses was about to just quit, give up and throw away the plan for ever. This was not the only reason God was angry with Moses. God was also upset with Moses because help was on the way. You see God was still planning and proving for Moses and Moses was so filled with fear and doubt he did not recognize it..
This should not surprise us that the God of vision is also the God of provision. When Moses was ready to give up before he had got started God had provision on the way. It should be no surprise to you either. There will be help for you when you show up to that place God told you to go. Not only help, but the very help you will be in need of just as with Moses. Moses knew his shortcoming and God did to. That’s why God was able to tell him, “He [Aaron] is already on his way to meet you.” There will be a friendly face if you will need a smile when you get there. There will be favor when you get there. There will be an adversary when you get there. .
God is too complete to put all the pieces together to miss the final piece. And that thing that you have to do is too important to God for Him not to bring provision. He will constantly remind you that He needs you. He will leave an burning in your heart that will be unquenchable. He will consistently show you that you are able because He is with you. Most importantly He already has help for you en route. The question is… Will you be there when help shows up!
