Remember the Light

Genesis 1st Chapter
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

Just the other day, I was having lunch with my spiritual father, and he told me something so powerful that I had to share it with you. From this text, we see that God said, “Let there be light: and there was light.” Now many of you might believe that the light was the sun. But it wasn’t. Actually, the sun wasn’t created until the fourth day (Genesis 1:14 – 19).

So what was this light, and where did it come from? Well, we know where—- from God’s word! Why because He spoke His word, and this light appeared. But the real question is, What was this light? Guess what…. This light was His word as well. Think about it. There was nothing in existence that was producing light.

Now, let’s look at this. If God said, “let there be light: and there was light,” then what is there to stop the light? Answer… Nothing, except the One who created it! Let me explain. God said, “Let there be light – right?” Now the only thing the light knew to do was — – “To be!” The light kept going and going and going.” So what happens when light meets darkness? It takes over the darkness and consumes it to the point that darkness no longer exists—-that is, if the light is powerful enough. With me so far? Good.

So, if God’s word was the light and His word goes on forever, shouldn’t it have taken over ALL the darkness? Well, believe it or not, it almost did. Let’s look at the fourth verse. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. You see, God had to divide or separate the light so it would not consume the darkness. Now remember that if the light isn’t all-powerful, then darkness will exist. But this light (His word) never stops unless He tells it to. And if He would have not told it to stop, it would have put an eternal end to darkness. Did you catch that? His word would have put an eternal end to darkness.

Now in closing, I want to share just a few words God has spoken over you: Healed, Whole, Set free, Redeemed, Blessed, Favored, Protected, Loved, Precious, Predestined, Prosperous, Victorious, Over-comer, Conqueror, Wise, Virtuous, Righteous, Yokeless, Out of Debt. Joyful, Happy, Fortunate, and Chosen. And guess what else? He never told any of these words to “stop.” He spoke them once, and they are still ringing out throughout all of existence, overtaking everything hell attempts to say about you.

So the next time you see light, let it remind you of God’s continual word going forth, never stopping nor ceasing until it accomplishes the thing it’s supposed to do – – – declare you the winner you were born to be.

Isaiah 55:11 “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
